Although CBSL generally focuses on companies employing 10 or more people with turnover/investment between TT $2 million - $50 million, CBSL is willing to assist any company with satisfactory management capability and growth potential. Expertise is readily available in the following areas:

  • Sawmilling and timber drying / treatment

We are also developing our capacity to assist in the areas of tourism and construction.

Provision of grant funding to assist with consultants’ costs.

CBSL is able to fund local and international consultants with a good track record, primarily from CDE’s vast network of experienced professionals, who have assisted countless ACP enterprises for over 20 years, and who have an excellent track record of successful interventions.

5. We assist in selecting a consultant and developing a budget

6. We arrange the level of financial support to be provided

Funding

  • CBSL receives grant funding that enables it to subsidize the cost of consultants providing services.
     
  • Customers are expected to contribute between one third and half the total cost of the assignment.
     
  • CBSL arranges to pay the grant contribution directly to the consultant, avoiding the use of the customer’s working capital.
     
  • CBSL does not provide financial assistance such as loans or investment capital, only grants to cover part of the cost of the technical assistance.

3. Assistance in general management

  • Implementation total quality management systems, with an emphasis on ISO9000 standards.

  • Ad hoc general management advice

4. Assistance in negotiating and arranging partnership agreements between A.C.P. & European manufacturers

  • Joint ventures, license & franchise agreements, sub-contracting agreements
