Client:

A limestone quarry operator in the Northern Range.

Problem:

Initially the proper development of the quarry had been hampered by a lack of resources resulting in low efficiency and productivity and badly arranged quarry faces and benches. Management recognized the need for a properly developed mining plan and approached CBSL for assistance with the project.

Solution:

CBSL provided a mining engineer who:

• Prepared a survey plan of the quarry
• Prepared a mine development plan
• Interviewed and advised on the recruitment of a Quarry Manager

Result:

A significant improvement in extractive efficiency leading to lower costs and higher volumes.
